SSL Community Art Classes

Creative Arts for Life is a series of adult classes taught by professional artists, designed to provide seniors and adults with the empowering opportunity of creating art in a variety of mediums. The Creative Arts for Life program gives participants the confidence to get started in creative expression and learn a new skill while telling their stories through art. At the same time, participants receive the tangible physical and mental health benefits that art can provide as we age.

Our community art classes give residents and non-residents the opportunity to learn new artistic styles and hone their craft among friends in a welcoming environment.

Free to Residents

Art classes are sponsored by the City of South Salt Lake and are free to residents. Non-residents can attend classes for $40.00.  Non-resident payment due at time of registration by calling 801-483-6000.

Join us for finger-painting in the park in August! Yes! Finger-painting is not just for kids.

We will be inspired by the artist Iris Scott to learn techniques to paint directly with your fingers. This tactile approach is very relaxing and meditative and a great way to develop your intuitive sense of color.

Maddie will take you through the process step-by-step to create beautiful scenes from nature.

No experience necessary.
