Arts & Community Center

We take community art very seriously. For over 50 years, our residents and friends have come together at the Historic Scott School campus to make art, create, and become a community.

Today, this center offers art, culture and education for people of all ages.

Commonwealth Arts District

Artists and creative people make neighborhoods interesting, and even more interesting when they end up clustering together in and do some creative placemaking. That is exactly what is happening in the Commonwealth Arts District in South Salt Lake. A group of creative people have committed to retaining the unique character of this neighborhood in Downtown South Salt Lake, and helping the arts flourish and remain in their home base. The goal is to create a cultural destination, a desirable workplace location, and a unique neighborhood to live in. Currently, there is a planning process going on to help identify what would help make the district "gel" and projects that could be undertaken to make this true arts district.
