Art Saturday
Make art with your friends, family and neighbors at Family Art Saturday. Each month, this FREE program brings art to your city and lets you create a piece for the community or to take home. The talented artists and instructors from Utah Museum of Contemporary Art (UMOCA) bring a theme, an idea and all the supplies to our art center and let you unleash your creativity.
Thank you to the Utah Museum of Contemporary Art (UMOCA) for sponsoring this project.

Historic Scott School Art + Community Center
For 50 years, this historic school has been the place to make art! Founded as Granite High School in the late 1800s and coverted to the Pioneer Craft House in 1966, this neighborhood institution became a community center in 2007 when South Salt Lake City purchased the property with SL County ZAP funds. Since that time, the center has grown and expanded to offer arts and education to people from all walks of life and interests.
- Take a class with the Pioneer Craft House to learn pottery, woodworking, jewelry making, weaving and more.
- Write your story at the free Write Here Community Writing Center hosted by Westminster College.
- Enroll your kids in free afterschool and summer programs that include art, writing, tutoring and more.
Thank you to the Salt Lake County ZAP program the Promise South Salt Lake programs for making this campus a community gem.
