During the 2018 Mural Fest, we were thrilled to work with fourteen incredibly talented local artists, each bringing their own unique and beautiful artwork to the streets of South Salt Lake. Hover your cursor over the artwork to learn more about each artist and to see links to more of their work.

VERONICA ZAK

A graduate from The Savannah College of Art and Design with a background in animation and painting, she is intensely focused on her projects, and has a passion for art in all forms.

JOSH SCHEUERMAN

Scheurman is a successful graphic artist and painter, having three solo art shows and and another one starting this April. He also helped start Art Adoption, a showcase of 30 or more local artists, and has kept it going for the past 10 years.

JORGE ARELLANO

After moving to Salt Lake from Mexico City, Arellano played in multiple punk bands before the desire to continue his passion for painting rose up within him. He is passionate about stencil graffiti, and says his art represents the voice of all oppressed men, womn, and children who struggle everyday.

JANN HAWORTH

Haworth has been active in the local and national art scene for decades. One of her famous local murals, "SLC Pepper", has just recently been updated to be an interactive piece.

ROGER WHITING

Whiting is incredibly excited to be creating a mural within South Salt Lake, and intends on working with several youth programs such Promise South Salt Lake during the creative process.

ELIZABETH BUNKER

Bunker is both an artist and an art teacher at a local international school. She believes murals are some of the most fun and rewarding experiences an artist and a community can undertake together.

CHUCK LANDVATTER

Landvatter returned home to Utah after being an assistant professor at Southern Arkansas University to teach at Utah State University. His work is influenced by his experiences growing up in the intermountain west, and uses a combination of traditional and contemporary techniques.

JUSTIN JOHNSON

Johnson, and his group of fellow artists that make up Justified Ink, use art as a tool for social change, inspiration, and to convey a message of empowerment.

ELAINA COURT

After discovering the joys of painting and her incredible talent, Elaina has continued to seek more opportunites to challenge herself. She has painted for several groups before, including the Humane Society and the Bicycle Collective.

BILLY HENSLER

Hinsler creates art that captures the essence of the wilderness and and nature that surrounds us. He feels that these outdoor places are the source of wonderful inspirations, and he wants to capture this feeling through his work.
